Finance accessory dwelling unit (ADU) construction

In partnership with the Salt Lake City Community Reinvestment Agency, CDCU and its affiliate, Utah Community Investment Fund, are offering a construction loan for homeowners who live on the westside of Salt Lake City who want to build an accessory dwelling unit (ADU) on their property. Depending on an applicant’s criteria, borrowers may be eligible for a loan up to $200,000 with a 3% fixed interest rate.

You may be eligible if you:

  • Own a property located west of I-15 in Salt Lake City municipal boundaries
  • Occupy the property as the principal residence

How to apply:

  • Identify a contractor you want to work with. They will help you with site reviews and building permits before construction.
