If you suffered financial hardship due to the Covid 19 pandemic and delayed essential home repairs in order to pay other bills and obligations, the federal Homeowners Assistance Fund includes a Critical Home Repair Program offering eligible homeowners up to $18,000 to fund critical home repairs or modifications necessary to allow the homeowner to remain in the home.
CDCU also has grants of up to $5,000 per household available (non Covid-related), which can be further supplemented by up to $25,000 through its HomeFit Upgrade Renovation Loan Program.
