November is National Hunger & Homelessness Awareness month! In the week of November 17-23, 2024, just before Thanksgiving, organizations and communities come together across the country to draw attention to the problems of hunger and homelessness - they EDUCATE, DONATE & VOLUNTEER.
Here at CDCU, our programs and products focus on helping everyone to remain or become stable in their home, whatever their circumstances. As such, taking time this month to remember that poverty is still a very real fight that many Utah families and individuals are facing continues to motivate us in our work.
We are also so grateful to our many community partners who are very much on the front line in addressing Utah's hunger and homelessness challenges, including but not limited to The Road Home, Volunteers of America, the Utah Food Bank, and all other local organizations.
If you or someone you know need help connecting with emergency shelter and other community resources, call 801-990-9999 (Homeless Connections Hotline) and/or visit our other Crisis Services resources page.
Additional resources can also be found on the End Homelessness Utah website.
