At CDCU, our objective is to help you identify and achieve your housing and financial goals. Our online Home Buyer Education class is offered in both English and Spanish.
SmartStart Counseling Program
Feeling like you are financially stable, on a budget, building credit and perhaps even saving some money helps to alleviate stress and worry. CDCU has redesigned its counseling program to help you become more financially secure.
Through SmartStart, we will help you learn about and create a budget of your own and give you the tools you need to succeed. We’ll help you identify spending leaks, ways to get more for your dollar, and learn about needs versus wants. After budgeting, we will find ways to help you save a little money each month and set some goals. And once you have a budget and find ways to save a little money, we will then talk about how to build or repair your credit.
We value your time and want to provide the best and most personalized pathway to achieve your goals. CDCU will direct you to the best resources, either externally or internally to meet your needs. We can help you take a proactive approach to managing your money and planning for the future; it will provide the knowledge, motivation, and resources you need as you achieve housing and financial stability.

Education
Completing home buyer education increases your chances for successful homeownership. Those that complete home buyer education are 33% less likely to fall delinquent within the first two years of obtaining their mortgage. Buying a home is probably the biggest purchase you will ever make—we are here to make sure you do it right.
